Alan is a heavy weight of Irish production design and was senior production designer for RTÉ. During his time there he was responsible for the design of the Eurovision Song Contest in both 1993 and 1995.
Alan’s expertise is often called upon for large scale events and concerts and he has designed several productions for Rough Magic Theatre Company and the Abbey Theatre.
He has experience across both film and TV and recent credits include the TV mini series The Bailout and crime drama Red Rock.
Alan’s most recent theatre credits include You Belong to Me (Once Off Productions/ Smock Alley) and The Tempest (Rough Magic/ Kilkenny Arts Festival 2022), featuring ambitious outdoor staging at Kilkenny Castle Park.
