About
Carl is a passionate Cinematographer who enjoys bringing stories to life through film, music video, and commercial productions. He has worked across Europe and internationally including Asia and America.
After studying at Manchester University, Carl moved to Belfast and combined a love of music with his camera skills to produce quality music videos for local artists, progressing to work on a range of award winning and nominated projects including RTS Best Documentary for Unquiet Graves, Directors Choice Award at Film Devour Short Film Festival for The Balance Within and Best Cinematography at Cabin Fever Film Festival for The Jar.
Previous short film projects include I’ll Be Frank and Frankie for Apex Pictures/ Northern Ireland Screen, The Painted Lady for Apex Pictures/ Northern Ireland Screen and United for Figboot Productions.
Carl continues to work on a range of projects including commercials for Jameson Whiskey, Lidl, Subway, UFC, Stena Line and many more. His talent for music video has seen him work with a range of chart-topping artists, including Ed Sheeran.
His first feature film The Black Guelph, directed by John Connors was winner of the German Independence Award for Best Film at the 2022 Oldenburg International Film Festival.
