E.D. Thompson

About

Eirin Thompson writes novels about small-town life. Her first two books Notes for the Next Time and The Undercover Mother (Hachette), were black comedies set in the home and workplace.

She then set aside writing to retrain in Child Development and Playwork, and worked in those fields for some years. Eirin returned to writing via short fiction for women’s magazines, where she had three hundred stories published and then burst back onto the novel-writing scene in 2021 with twisty mystery thriller I Know I Saw Her (Hachette).  The  book is a noirish suspense story, again set in a small town.

Eirin has a first class honours degree in English Literature and an MA in Creative Writing.  She lives in County Armagh.
