Jaro Waldeck is an award winning cinematographer with bases in Ireland, Czech Republic and Sweden. She is a member of the Czech Society of Cinematographers.
Her first narrative feature Dreamtown premiered at Galway Film Fleadh 2024, along with documentary feature Housewife of the Year which won Best Irish Documentary Award. Other credits include the comedy horror Conveyance which won Best Cinematography at the Monza Film Festival in Italy, the multi award winning In Orbit written and directed by Katie McNeice, and La Tumba directed by Natasha Waugh.
Jaro’s medical documentary Counter Attack funded under the Science on Screen Commission by Ardan/Curam, an environmental documentary
The Forest Midwife funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture and a short drama Shelter are set for festival premieres this year.
