Winner of the award for Best Director at the Richard Harris International Film Festival 2022 for her latest film Ship of Souls, Jean is an accomplished Irish writer and director for screen, stage and radio based in Dublin.
Ship of Souls, which she wrote and directed, also won Best Short Film Script at Irish Writers Guild Zebbie Awards 2022 and Best Irish Short Film at the Foyle Film Festival 2021. The film was also was nominated for an Irish Film & Television Award in 2022. Jean’s next film as writer/director The Piper is a feature currently in development.
She recently co-wrote the screenplay for The Bright Side, winner of the Audience Award at Cork International Film Festival 2020 and was also nominated for Best Screenplay at the Irish Writer’s Guild Zebbie Awards.
