About

Kate has just been announced as the newly appointed Artistic Director of Theatre Clywd. She was previously the Artistic Director of Stockroom, a writers room for theatre, which produced new work for  stages around the country.

Recently she directed the new stage version of the iconic Boys From the Blackstuff  by Alan Bleasdale, adapted by James Graham at Liverpool Royal Court, transferring to the Olivier stage at the National Theatre in May 2024.

Previously she founded and was Artistic Director of The Other Room in Cardiff, winner of The Stage Awards Fringe Theatre of the Year 2016, the Olwen Wymark WGGB Award for its work supporting playwrights and several Wales Theatre Awards. The Other Room was also nominated for the 2017 Peter Brook Empty Space Award.
